Broadway Avenue, Ste 102, Meridian , Idaho 83642 ATTENTION: Stacy Hersh, Department Staff PROJECT: Ten Mile Christian Church – Maintenance Building 3500 W Franklin Road Meridian, Idaho 83642 REGARDING: Certificate of Zoning Compliance Application – Narrative Letter NARRATIVE: Ten Mile Christian Church Inc. is proposing the construction of a new 5000 sf PEMB maintenance building on the north side of their existing church building which is located at 3500 W Franklin Road in Meridian. The maintenance building will be used to house lawn care equipment for the 32 acre religious facility site. The location of the new maintenance building will be behind the current church facility and fully screened from view from Franklin Road on the south. It will be located approx. 800 feet from Ten Mile Road to the east, 600 feet from Umbra Road to the west and 40’-0” to the existing storage building complex to the north. The building will be provided with new landscaping for further screening around it as indicated on the attached CZC/DR Landscape Plan. The maintenance building colors were chosen to be harmonious with the church facility color pallet. The intended wall and roof panels will be factory color finished panels and the base of the building will receive a 4’-0” high masonry wainscot. Due to the obscure location of this small maintenance building we are requesting acceptance of the limited level of detail and roof plane changes given it’s location and visibility considerations. Previously granted approvals: AZ-05-023, DA #105191334, MI-06-007, CZC- 06-143, CZC-07-235, CUP-07-013, CZC-10-056 & A-2019-0311.
