Broadway Ave Meridian, ID 83642 SUBJECT: Drainage Impact Letter for TEN MILE CHRISTIAN CHURCH MAINTENANCE BUILDING 3500 W. Franklin Rd Meridian, Idaho Dear Amanda: As we discussed via email on November 24, 2020, and as shown on the attached architectural site plan, Ten Mile Christian Church is proposing to construct a new maintenance building on their property located at 3500 W. Franklin Rd in Meridian, Idaho. This letter is intended to address the City's requirement to evaluate the potential impact of the building and associated improvements on stormwater management. As shown in the attached draft site plan (see Attachment 1), the proposed 5000 sf building will be constructed near the northeast corner of the site. The building does not have any sewer or water improvements proposed. There is an existing paved pathway to the north and east of the proposed building that forms an existing barrier that will help reduce the potential for stormwater runoff to flow offsite from the proposed building and improvements (see photos in Attachment 2). The existing fire access road on the east side of the proposed building already generally slopes to an existing stormwater management swale that is located near the north and east side of the existing parking lot (see photos in Attachment 3). It is my opinion, that the amount of stormwater runoff from the proposed 5000 sf maintenance building and associated parking improvements is not significant when compared to the overall area and extent of the existing improvements on the 32-acre site, and that stormwater runoff from these proposed improvements can be retained on site. Therefore, since there are not any sewer and water services to the building and that stormwater from the building and additional pavement should not have a significant impact on the existing storm drain systems, we ask that the City allow this letter to be used in lieu of preparing a set of civil plans and drainage report for the project. Feel free call me at 208-466-8181 if you have any questions or need additional information.
