S Iver Keith Ellis, Marvin Bodine, John Navarro Others present: Grant L. A rose Roge Welker, Ceorge Gregory. llinute4 of previous meeting, ere ead and approved. Gregory came before Georg the C until to request a certifi atiov of improvements for the Gregory Sub vision Unit number I stating tlukt the improvements have be n completed to the satisfaction of the City of Meridian as required by the FHA. It was noted that one lot depth on Raymond Avenue and Carltori Avenue have not been com- pleted the lame as the remainder of an 8" sever line along the back property west line) of his subdivision. It is understood by the Council and Mr. Gregor3 that these improvements re te be completed and he agreed to c mplet these improvements. Motion was made by W. D. Motion was made by Marvin Bod ine 4d sec nded by John Navarra that he City Attorney, Grant Ambro e, be granted permis ion tD take the necessary steps to secure the right of way a eemen s to dedicate West B oadwa Avenue for public use and travel. Said use is Niolated by Obert Donahue on an adjoining lot owned by the J L. T wne Estate. Mr. Don hue is usirq, this lot to accumulate unsightl,material storage. The City Attorney was instructed t take the necessary steps t.o abate this nuisance as it is an improper use under the dee ed re tractions of this su divi 'on. The City Attorney is proceed'ng with West Carlton Street between West 7th and West 8th to assign t e adjoining land to Yr. Cox Dear Sir: As a result of numerous inquiries having been received pertaining to the possibility of locating a pay telephone in the vicinity of the Post Office in Meridian, we feel there is a need for one and would like to suggest a City Sidewalk installation. The Postmaster, Mr. J. D. Petty, has been contacted and approval obtained for locating the installation on the East Idaho Avenue side of the Post Office Building, midway between the "Drive -up Mail Box Letter Drop" and restrictive parking sign, adjacent to the curb and in line with them. The cost of installation will be defrayed by the Telephone Company and 15 % of the revenue derived from the telephone will be paid to the City of Meridian. (Same arrangement as we have on the telephone at Rexall Meridian Drug.) With the City Council's approval, we are prepared to have the work completed prior to the start of the winter season.
