Mountain States Telephone
Boise, Idaho, October 11, 1966
City of Meridian
Meridian, Idaho
Attention: Mr. Harold J. Cox
Dear Sir:
As a result of numerous inquiries having been received pertaining
to the possibility of locating a pay telephone in the vicinity of the
Post Office in Meridian, we feel there is a need for one and would like
to suggest a City Sidewalk installation.
The Postmaster, Mr. J. D. Petty, has been contacted and approval
obtained for locating the installation on the East Idaho Avenue side
of the Post Office Building, midway between the "Drive -up Mail Box
Letter Drop" and restrictive parking sign, adjacent to the curb and in
line with them.
The cost of installation will be defrayed by the Telephone Company
and 15 % of the revenue derived from the telephone will be paid to the
City of Meridian. (Same arrangement as we have on the telephone at
Rexall Meridian Drug.)
With the City Council's approval, we are prepared to have the work
completed prior to the start of the winter season.
If there are questions or any assistance required, please call
W. B. Voyles, 385-2431, Boise, Idaho.
Yours truly,
W. B. Voyles
