Meridian City Annexation
To Whom It May Concern;
Allow me to introduce myself. I am the owner of the residence at 2690 E. Franklin Rd..
The property is an investment/income home for myself and my wife and is currently rented.
Recently the septic system failed even after we tried to rehabilitate it this summer. As a result I
was only left with the option of hooking up to the Meridian sewer system which was available to
us off of Franklin Rd.
When I contacted Meridian's Planning and Development department and expressed my
desire to hook up to the City's sewer system I was informed that if I m anted to hook up to sewer
I would also be required to abandon my well and pump system and hook up to the city water
system as well AND I would also be required to annex the property into Meridian's city limits
which apparently is possible because the back end of my property is comiguous with the large
commercial development at the bottom of the hill north of my property.
As part of the annexation process I am required to hold a neigh')orhood meeting to allow
those that might be impacted by this to come and meet with me to disc iss the situation before
any of the public hearings that will occur.
As such I will be holding this meeting:
Date: November 21, 2020
Where: In front of 2690 E. Franklin Rd.
Time: Between 11:OOam and Noon { 12:00 pm }
Please feel flee to drop by and talk should you have any questions. I will not be changing
the usage of the property nor doing any remodeling or building anything additional. Everything
stays the same.
