Broadway Ave., Suite 102 Meridian, ID 83642 RE: EARL GLEN SUBDIVISION PRELIMINARY PLAT & CONDITIONAL USE PERMT TIME EXTENSION REQUEST Dear Mr. Dodson: On behalf of Brinegar Investments LLLP,please accept this Time Extension Application for the Earl Glen Subdivision Preliminary Plat and multi-family Conditional Use Permit. The project was originally approved by the City of Meridian City Council on September 1, 2015, and a one (1) year administrative Time Extension was granted in July, 2017. An additional time extension was requested and granted in October of 2018. There are several reasons for the requested additional time extension. The applicant is currently completing Whitecliffe Estates and with the current COWD situation everything is going much slower. In addition, one of the General Partners with Brinegar Investments has been ill which has created some internal administrative issues. Earl Glen is a good project that is ready to go to final platting. In addition to the required documents, I have included supplemental materials such as the preliminary engineering and Conditional Use Permit related materials. This will be an infill subdivision in an area that is predominately developed, is well designed, provides cross connectivity to the developed subdivision to the east and `opens the door' for the extension of the subdivision northward into the remaining undeveloped area. The mix of housing type is beneficial for the city as the site incorporates multi-family that is smaller in scale than many of the large scale projects currently in development. The applicant understands the City's concerns with repeated time extensions and asks for your forbearance to keep this worthwhile project active.
