1. Approval of Minutes from July Regular Meeting
J. Nary made motion to approve the minutes, seconded by J. Ault.

NEW BUSINESS [ACTION ITEMS]
2. Approval of Monthly Financial Statement
J. Nary asked about the brochures and kiosk payments, A. Belnap clarified that the
brochure invoices have been processed and will show up on the September
financial statement and the kiosk has not been ordered.
J. Nary made motion to approve the monthly financial statement, seconded by J.
Ault

OLD BUSINESS [ACTION ITEMS]
3. Facebook Group Training by Shandy Lam
S. Lam presented a training on the new Historic Preservation Facebook Group,
covering topics including how to join the group, regularity and content posting,
how to invite others to join the group.
J. Nary requested that ‘Idaho’ be included in the description of the group to avoid
confusion with other cities named Meridian.
The Commission also discussed hashtags with Shandy. Shandy recommended that
the Commission builds up content in the group, then push a campaign to invite
people to join the group.
4. Create an Action Plan for Generating Content for Facebook Group
B. Johnston will reach out to J. Evarts, J. Nary, B. Fitzgerald to form a subcommittee
to discuss content creating and the timeline for the Facebook Group.
5. Discuss Historic Walking Tour Panel Design
The Commission reviewed the image created by Bryce Andrews and did not have
any feedback. J. Nary asked to double check that the silhouette image of the
walking family is not used in any other City publications.
REPORTS [ACTION ITEM]
6. Update: Hull Film Speedway Project
Brandon Hull should be finishing the Meridian Speedway and City Hall project by
the end of next month.
7. Update: Hull Film Master Agreement
Brandon Hull is preparing to submit his qualifications for the Master Agreement.
Then the Finance Department will create the Master Agreement based on those
qualifications.
8. Update: National Historic Registry Speedway Project
A. Belnap and Barbara Bauer from TAG Historical Research have struggled to
connect with the Speedway Manager. B. Johnston will ask J. Evarts if he has
additional contact information for the manager.
9. Update: Adding Meridian History to Boise State's World Museum
B. Fitzgerald reported that the museum is still creating the digital formatting and is
not ready for submissions yet. The Commission will check back in January 2021.
10. Brief review of the NAPC Forum from the Commissioners who participated
The commissioners who attended the conference will get together to discuss their
insights and prepare a training for the rest of the Commission.
