ACTION ITEMS
2. Location Selection for the Meridian Mural Series
The Subcommittee reviewed each application. When considering each application,
the Subcommittee deliberated and considered the visibility of the building by
searching Google Maps, the size of the space, and they discussed the theme
suggested by the property owner.
After reviewing all applications, the Subcommittee concluded that they would not
be able to choose the final locations without first pricing out each mural. Instead,
the Subcommittee voted to rank the locations from highest priority to lowest
priority.
In the first round of voting, each Subcommittee member cast 3 votes:
Boise Co-op (4 votes)
o Sage Point Building (3 votes)
Life Legacy Church (2 votes)
Northview Building (2 votes)
Meridian Bicycle (2 votes)
The Vault (1 vote)
Truffles, Etc. (1 vote)
o The Heritage Building (0 votes)
As a tie breaker, the Subcommittee held a second round of voting with one vote per
Subcommittee member:
Life Legacy Church (3 votes)
o Northview Building (2 votes)
Meridian Bicycle (0 votes)
The Vault (3 votes)
o Truffles, Etc. (2 votes)
As determined by the voting, the ranking of the mural locations are as follows:
1. Boise Co-op
2. Sage Point Building
3. Life Legacy Church
4. Northview Building
5. Meridian Bicycle
6. The Vault
7. Truffles, Etc.
A. Belnap will research pricing out each mural location and bring the results to the
next regular Commission meeting. The Commission will then be able to finalize the
locations for the mural series.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
1. Discussion of Meridian Mural Series Application for Muralists
A. Belnap offered to draft the RFQ for the muralists and submit the draft to the
Commission for feedback at the next regular meeting.
