RE: Narrative Regarding Vacation of ACHD Right-of-Way
As part of the development of the Union 93 mixed use project,the Ada County Highway District has
agreed to relinquish certain historically platted rights of way in the Rowan Addition that are not utilized
by the district.
Galena is submitting this right-of-way vacation to the City of Meridian for the City's approval of this
vacation.
PLEASE NOTE: The City's application system could not find an address for the parcel where the
vacation is occurring. After speaking with City staff, the suggestion was to use an address/parcel
number that was used as part of our Conditional Use Permit application(there are three parcels
making up the site). The one address the application system identified was 614 N. Main Street, which
is parcel number S1107325700. The parcel and address where the vacation is occurring is
R7596000541, with an address of simply"E Third Street."
As part of the vacation process, Galena is conveying to ACHD right-of-way along N. Main Street and E.
Broadway Avenue to conform to current ACHD right-of-way standards.
Vacation of this right-of-way is an integral part of the development of the Union 93 project. We
appreciate the City's assistance in this effort.
