Re: Ten Mile Trailhub Certificate of Zoning Compliance
Request for Alternative Compliance Narrative
On behalf of the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department, I would like to modify our CZC
application by requesting Alternative Compliance of the landscape requirements. The parking lot
is located seven feet from the 25‐foot front buffer and we feel there is not enough space to meet
both the front buffer and parking lot tree requirement without overcrowding.
Our calculations show the project requiring eleven trees within the front buffer. We request the
buffer width be widened from 25 to 32 feet to include the trees near the buffer. That will bring
our buffer trees to nine. We request that the remaining two trees be considered from among the
17 extra trees provided on site.
Widening the front buffer will create a shortage of one tree for the required seven parking lot
trees. We also request that this tree be considered from the extra trees on site.
Thank you for consideration of this request and please contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Kim Warren
