Good Afternoon Alan,
Thank you for your email and helping to get this pump house shed approved. Attached are
the revised elevations and landscape plan to show the trellises and pump house. We will be
installing ivy as the plant on the trellises. I have attached a photo to that affect.
As for ASM requirement 3.2A – we believed that adding a band detail and decorative lattice over the
door in addition to the trellises would qualify as our architectural features. I understand your
thoughts as having the pump house somewhat uniform to the elevations provided with the planning
submittal, those were only conceptual and will depend on the builders and homeowners. As the
developers are going with an elevated farmhouse look for the subdivision, I believe this design
follows through. The pump house is actually in the back of the subdivision as the gate shown on the
plan is the secondary entrance. We will incorporate additional landscaping after the pump house is
completed to make sure that it is not noticeable from the street. Please let me know if you have any
additional questions or concerns.
Lastly, when I upload these plans online under the CZC Application would you like me to remove the
previous upload and then upload all documents including these new ones as a single Zip file? Please
advise.
Thank you,
Sophia Durham

Hi Sophia,
As I mentioned in the previous email, I need the footprint of the structure and the locations of all
the lattices shown on the landscape plan. You mentioned there will be a vine on each of the lattices.
Please tell me what type of plant that will be.
After looking at the approved elevations from the Three Corners Preliminary Plat, I understand why
you chose the grey colors because the approved elevations are mostly using that scheme.
Given the small size of the structure, I believe the majority of the requirements of the ASM aren’t
applicable to this project.
I DO think this particular requirement applies:
3.2A - For at least 30% of applicable façades use any combination of concrete, masonry, stone, or
unique variation of color, texture, or material, at least 10-inches in height, around the base of the
building. May alternatively incorporate other architectural features such as ledges, façade reveals,
ground level fenestration, raised planters, or landscaping elements within 3-feet of finished grade.
If you look at the elevations I provided, ALL of them provide a hardy board or similar type lap siding
and a base of stone. My recommendation will be this or a similar element is carried to the pump
house, as this structure will be right at the front of the development when you come in and is in
direct view from the pathway.
Please update the landscape plan and elevations accordingly, or let me know why this is not feasible
and what alternative you propose.
