AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN AMENDING TITLE 2 CHAPTER 4
SECTION 1 OF THE MERIDIAN CITY CODE, PLANNING AND ZONING
MEETINGS, TIME AND PLACE OF REGULAR MEETINGS; THE REGULAR
MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION SHALL BE HELD
ON THE FIRST AND THIRD THURSDAYS OF EACH MONTH, AND IN THE
EVENT A PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING FALLS ON A HOLIDAY, THE
MEETING SHALL NOT BE HELD ON THAT THURSDAY BUT SHALL BE HELD
ON THE FOLLOWING THURSDAY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Meridian, State of
Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best interest of the said City to amend the
Meridian City Code to provide that there shall be two regular Planning and Zoning
Commission meetings to be held the first and third Thursdays of each month, and to
provide that where a regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is scheduled on a
Thursday in November that is a holiday, the Planning and Zoning meeting shall not be
held on that Thursday but shall be held on the following Thursday.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
SECTION 1: That Title 2, Chapter 4, Section 1 of the Meridian City Code
of the City of Meridian is hereby amended and shall read as follows:
2-4-1 TIME AND PLACE OF MEETINGS:
Time And Place Of Meetings: The regular meetings of the Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City shall be held at the Meridian City Hall at

each month at seven o'clock (7:00) P.M. of said days. If the said sccond
first or third Tucsday Thursday of any month is a holiday, the meeting
shall not be held on that Tucsday Thursday but shall be held the following
Thursday at the same hour and place.
SECTION 2: All ordinances, resolutions, orders or parts thereof in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, rescinded and annulled.
SECTION 3: ~ VALIDITY: The Meridian City Council hereby declares that
any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this Ordinance as adopted and amended
herein be declared for any reason to be invalid it is the intent of the Meridian City
Council that it Would have passed all other portions of this Ordinance independent of the
elimination herefrom of any portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION 4: SAVINGS CLAUSE: This Ordinance does not affect an action
or proceeding commenced or right accrued before this Ordinance takes effect.
SECTION 5: DATE OF EFFECT: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect on January 1,2001, after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
