Hi Alan, I know we sort of discussed and I have discussed with Mr. Homan as well. ACHD required a vehicular connection to Levi Lane. This plat does not provide a public street connection that would meet ACHD’s requirement and the ACHD right-of- way cannot be blocked with bollards. Mr. Homan is aware of our stance and that our previously issued report is not open to modification at this time as the appeal period has passed. I appreciate you keeping me in the loop on this project. Please let me know if there are any questions. We have to have a way out as that leg of the road is almost 200’ long. I would rather see an uninterrupted connection to Larry Lane. This gives us unhindered access from two directions. Attached is the most recent plat. This version pretty much is the first version, where they do not have Larry Lane connect. Joe, it also looks like they put some kind of turn-around at the south along N. Willowside. They disconnected Larry Lane because they’re trying to appease some neighbors that have dragged them into a civil suit. The City still believes Larry Lane should connect and supports the previous plan. There is a major development in the planning stages at the north, Prescott Ridge is in the process at the west, and the Westbridge Subdivision is to the south. I do not see the utility in not connecting Larry Lane based on the opposition of two neighbors. 2 Alan Tiefenbach | Current Associate Planner City of Meridian | Community Development Dept. 33 E.
