Meridian City Clerk,
Please file the following public comment for the public hearing and comment on Jocelyn Park Subdivision PP
H-2020-0067, which is to occur 9/15/20:
The National Wetlands Inventory identifies a portion of the project site as freshwater ponds, which are separate
from the existing and identified drainage pond in the southeast corner of the site being used as required green
space. Attached is a screen shot from the National Wetlands Inventory website for clarification.
The staff report and supporting documentation from the owner do not identify the presence of these wetland
areas and do not identify measures taken to re-categorize these wetlands with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
The infill of these wetland areas has already begun.
As a Meridian resident and concerned neighbor, I ask the Meridian City Council to postpone approval of the
Development Review Application until such time as the proper approvals by the Army Corps can be obtained to
infill the inventoried ponds and proper requirements be established for how to treat these wetland features.
