I have lived at 329 W. Fortini since May of 2009 when I purchased this parade of homes, house. From 2008 to 2018 I managed
Consolidated Supply Co. ( Wholesale Plumbing - Mechanical ). In 2015 we were awarded the bid with our contractor to supply the
Plumbing and Mechanical for Red Tail by Baron Apt complex at the corner of SE Meridian and Victory. 220 units plus pool, club
house etc.. Also residential housing east of the main apts. There were hardly any houses in this area when I purchased my house in
May of 2009. Unfortunately now you can hardly get out of Strada at certain times during the day. This is coming from someone in
the business doing multi family housing, residential, Commercial etc. Knowing what Red Tail has done to the traffic on Victory and
Meridian, since the completion has been eye full.
The talking points for not allowing the rezoning are many and I can not for the life of me see any positive for doing so. Traffic,
Schools overcrowded , property value just to name a few negatives if someone was looking to rezone this area to high density.
The knock on Meridian for quite some time has been the over building and it doesn't look like that has changed much. If this is
allowed to go ahead it will not be because the council thought it was a good idea for the residence of this area. It will be about
growth without consequences or just money.
