I am sure that you are getting an interesting set of input on this proposal. I will be the outlier from the area.
Have been in Idaho since 1980 and spend 24 years at HP, a California based company, and helped developed the
LaserJet Family and created a great volume of jobs. I have just retired from teaching in the BSU MBA program in the
area of Project/Program manager.
I did not live in directly in the area, but I am in Meridian Greens and this is in the impact area. So, why do I care? One of
the challenges I have seen is for young families to find affordable safe housing. I believe this development has the
potential to provide housing. We all complain about traffic, as you know so well the area along I-84 is a rapid growth
area and many families will need to move into the area. We can see a reduction in traffic if we have good local housing.
In my last class at BSU I had several students tell me that they are concerned that they can not find housing if they
stayed in the area. These were outstanding students, we need to keep the best and brightest in Idaho and Meridian.
Again, I am just one voice.
