2. A. Belnap reports on the current Initial Point Gallery Exhibit and Opening
Reception
A. Belnap summarized the exhibit installed in the Initial Point Gallery on
Friday, June 26. She is looking for a host for the Opening Reception on
July 7th and will reach out to the commissioners who have not hosted yet in
2020 to see if they can stand as host.
3. Report on Efforts to Distribute the Call to Artist and Applications Received
A. Belnap reported her efforts to personal email the artists whose
information was shared to us by Karen Bubb. L. Taylor will share the Call to
Artist with Jessie Swimely of TVAA. A Belnap printed the current list of
contacts she has and has yet to contact.
4. Determine Next Steps to Expand Distribution of the Call to Artist
Subcommittee members and A. Belnap discussed more organizations and
artists to reach out to, including: St. Lukes Social Services (art therapy),
To develop, advance and nurture all facets of the arts
to enhance the quality of life for Meridian residents and its visitors
Nampa Art Guild (L. Taylor will contact Leslie J. Bosch), Robin Cox, Ginger
Lance, Trisha Stevenson, and Dave Dillon.
5. Next Meeting: August 3, 2020, 1:00pm
The next meeting will be the calendaring and scheduling of artist for the
2021 Initial Point Gallery.
