10580 &10474 State St. Commercial Development TIS -NW corner of SH-44 and Taurus Way(Star, ID)
Committee Discussion
Committee has safety concerns for full access. The Taurus Way intersection functions acceptably with
right-in,right-out onto SH-44.Limiting proposed approach with traffic separator will limit movements at
the hospital to the west,Cosmo Drive and/or Taurus Way.Proposed SH-44 approach functions acceptably
as full access once SH-44 is widened in 2024.
The city of Star intends to connect Taurus Way to Seneca Springs way with a backage road to increase
mobility options for motorists. The HOA is not opposed to the development having access onto Taurus Way
as a long as there is SH-44 access. A Taurus Way access provides additional travel opportunities.
