Alan,
I just spoke with Chad. I told him that without knowing the details of his CZC/DES application, I
couldn’t comment specifically BUT that he needs to comply with the standards in the ASM or apply
for an exception to the standard(s) if he isn’t complying. Having said that, the concept elevations
submitted with the CUP were only that, conceptual. It specifically stated in the staff report (pg. 6)
that these were provided for illustrative purposes to depict the specific design elements for the
development and that further refinement would occur at the staff level review of the DR application.
There were 2 different concept drawings included in VI.D of the report, one was approved, one was
not approved. The final design should substantially comply with the approved concept but does not
have to exactly match it.

P.S. Kevin was the Planner on the CUP application, it wasn’t me.
