To Whom it May Concern,
I am appalled at the decisions to put more housing at Chinden & Black Cat. I understand where housing is
expensive and this would provide more affordable housing. However, Chinden is becoming a NIGHTMARE!!!
Linder Road is becoming a huge Village shopping, then 10 mile with Costco-so why add another congested
area at Black Cat. There really isn’t any other land in Meridian for a plan like this except for Chinden?!!! Also
another concern is schooling. Our kids are already in overcrowded schools and now having to bus my child out
to Star Middle...why add more housing to make our schools even more crowded?!! It’s rediculous that my 5th
grader has a classroom size of 35+ kids to one teacher. Fairbourne will already add children to these schools
and all the development going down off Black Cat & Ustick. Can we please have an alternate solution for the
land that doesn’t overcrowd Chinden more than it is as well as the concern for our kids?!!!
Thank you! I pray that these decisions are being made with the interests and concerns being HEARD from the
city tax payers of Meridian. Our voice matters too.
