RE: Tree Farm Multi-Family Apartment Complex H-2020-0022
May 15, 2020
Upon examining the Modern Craftsman Development Plan, we are
requesting your denial of this project for the following reasons:
1. It is a poor fit for our neighborhood. We own single family homes and
pay $120.00 per month to SpurWing HOA. We have beautiful open
areas, ponds and trails. We are not gated. We pay high property taxes.
2. Proposed Complex H-2020-0022 has a large number of apartments
with little open space and green areas. We fear an influx of non-
residents coming to SpurWing to use our facilities.
3. There would be increased traffic and dangerous conditions at the
Chinden/Black Cat intersection.
4. We fear an overall negative impact on our quality of life and on
property values.
We believe a better fit for the planned area would be a project similar to
SpurwWing - single family homes with open green areas and/or up-market
commercial businesses. The city would likely receive greater revenue from such
projects.
Respectfully submitted,
Roger and Wanda Maranda
