Subject:Termination of Modern Craftsman Development
Hi!
My husband and I relocated to Spurwing Heights for various retirement reasons. To our disappointment and
disapproval, we have discovered that there will be RENTAL homes just one block from our newly custom built
home. We are disgusted that the city would even allow such a development to be built on the corner of Black
Cat and Chinden for very evident reasons.
1). We pay HOA dues monthly for living in such an "upscale" community. Those rental tenants will have the
freedom of coming and going into our development since we are not a gated community, which I am truly
passionate about. We need to be gated due to the influx of population around us. The SW townhomes will be
in a gated community. Fairbournne AND MODERN CRAFTSMAN residents will avoid traffic on Black Cat and
Tree Farm and drive thru SW, which will create DANGER HAZARDS for small children playing at OUR park,
which WE pay for thru OUR HOA.
2). The rental property will DECREASE our property values tremendously! NOT OK!
3). The traffic will be more horrendous than it already is. Major concern!
4). Since Bainbridge is building a school in their community which is acrossed the street, parents will NOT want
to sit and fight with student drop offs/pick ups. So, they will park their cars on Black Cat, the school will hire a
crossing guard, and students will be crossed over to walk to school.
5). MODERN CRAFTSMAN / FAIRBOURNNE should not be allowed to enter our community to use our park,
firepit and lake for any reason, not even to walk their pets.
6). There is definitely not enough street space for emergency personnel.
7). We do NOT want NO PARKING SIGNS put up in front of our home because of this development and
Fairbournne residents.
8). VANDALISM/CRIME RATE WILL BE A MAJOR PROBLEM AND CONCERN FOR ALL SPURWING RESIDENTS
We, as a community, plead to you to quash this development immediately for the very obvious reasons and
reasons voiced by other SW homeowners. This is to be taken seriously by all involved!
