Wineglass Entertainment over the last few years. Typically the
concert series hosts 3-4 concerts with two local bands and
one regional band.
c. Art Week- see attachment #2
M. Tzompa reviewed last year’s Art Week Activities. She stated
that one of the most popular activities was Art Drop. M.
Tzompa said that partnering with Angry Easel worked well and
the check list for things to include in the drop was important.
Some things that could be imporved would be the social media
marketing for the Art Drop. Another popular activity was the
chalk art competition. Some of the less popular activities were
the song writing workshop, the art resource workshop, and the
film screening. Some key players were Stephanie Forbes, who
found and scheduled the performing musicians, and Bonnie
Zahn Griffith, who invited many plein air painters.
3. Discuss high level plans for Events in 2020
a. Taking into account potential accomodations due to COVID-19
To develop, advance and nurture all facets of the arts
to enhance the quality of life for Meridian residents and its visitors
Subcommittee members discussed cancellation possibilities if
coronavirus has a second wave. A. Belnap informed the
members of the cancellation clause that will be included in the
band’s contracts- if concert cancelled more than 7 days before
concert, then there is no money exchanged. If concert
cancelled less than 7 days before concert, then the money is
paid in full.
b. Concerts on Broadway- August 29, Sept 12, Sept 26
L. Mauldin and A. Belnap informed the subcommittee
members of the three bands that are book for the concert
series. M. Tzompa suggested we look into the band Casio
Dreams for future concerts.
c. Art Week- Sept 9-12
The Subcommittee members discussed the dates of Art Week.
A. Belnap pointed out that Sept 12 also conflicts with the
Meridian Block Party and Kleiner Park Live. A. Belnap

combine forces with the Block Party on that Saturday. No
decision was made, however the general consensus liked the
idea.
