Subject:
South West corner of Victory and Meridian project
Message:
I am emailing you in regards to the propose apartment complex on the South West corner of
Victory and Meridian Road. I have a few concerns about this project and ultimately feel that it is
not a good space.
We do not live in a typical metropolitan city like New York were a large population may live in
apartments. The location where this is project is to be extracted is in the suburbs. And many
people who live in this area are more likely to live in an apartment for temporary reasons until
they can afford to move to a house. We do not need any more temporary housing
developments.
I also know from experience that single adults may rent together. This would mean that there
would be far more cars and traffic. I do not believe they will choose to Uber a lift in fact most
adults own a vehicle. Also those who own a car will prefer to drive their vehicle especially if they
are paying for auto insurance. I think that this is also because the location of the apartments is in
the suburbs.
The road is also curvy, with blind spots. It is against a canal it has a nice sized dip, so when it rains
there is a mass of water. When it is heavy rain, the mass is terrible, people try to swerve to avoid,
but not everyone can because well it could cause an accident.
Meridian and Eagle Road are some of the highest trafficked roads. Both have had many traffic
accidents occur. I even heard from a builder friend that there is plans for more apartments
around Eagle and Victory area. Why would we want to build where there is going to be an
increase of population and traffic in areas that are so commonly known to have accidents? It
would increase the traffic accident rate.
