NEW FORM SUBMISSION Hey there, Someone just submitted your form on meridiancity.org/council/request. Here's what they had to say: Request for Mayor and Council: Name: Jeff and Pam Leaton _replyto: pamleaton@ email.com Street Address: 3010 S. Jiovanni Ave. City: Meridian State: ID Zip Code: 83642 Subject: Proposed Apartment Complex on the Southwest corner of Victory and Meridian Roads Message: Subject: .RE: Southwest corner of Meridian and Victory Roads Mayor Simison and Council Members, my husband and I would like to address the proposed zoning at the corner of Meridian and Victory Roads. We wholeheartedly agree with our HOA President, Larry Chase, of Strada Bellissima, but would also like to address our concerns in writing. First, we would like to address the traffic issues that this added apartment complex would put on an already congested intersection, especially at rush-hour traffic times, which also puts that traffic on Meridian Road and the interstate, where that traffic already is so backed up at times to Victory, during rush-hour times. And during those busy times, it's already hard for neighbors in Strada Bellissima to get out onto Victory. If any development goes in this 17 -acre parcel, I think it should only be commercial. Secondly, all the way down Victory, between Eagle and Linder Roads, there are numerous existing subdivisions and several new subdivisions going in. Where are all these children going to go to school? Until our government officials start imposing restrictions for builders to build schools to accommodate all of these children, the building of subdivisions needs to stop. Lastly, until Victory Road is widened, no further development should even be considered. We're always putting the horse before the cart, and then tearing up roads to accommodate the growth. Please, let this insanity stop. Plan for future growth with roads and schools first, and then have builders help or take on those costs. Sincerely, Jeff and Pam Leaton 3010 S.
