Planning and Zoning Commissioners,
I am writing to express my personal support of the Union District Urban Renewal Project. I know you must
ultimately decide if the plan conforms to the City’s Comprehensive plan, and after reviewing the plans for
revitalization and supporting materials, I believe there is significant documentation that shows is does.
In particular, I believe one of the most compelling reasons to move this project forward is the looming
expiration of the current downtown URD. While the current URD has made significant strides in downtown,
there is still so much work to be done, and our growing community needs the assets amenities this plan aims to
provide.
Thank you for your consideration and thank you for all the extra effort you are putting in to serving our
community through these unprecedented challenges!
