The Contractor shall be responsible for all barricades, safety devices and control of trafficwithin and around the construction area.4.All material furnished on or for the project must meet the minimum requirements of the approving agencies or as setforth herein, whichever is more restrictive. Contractors must furnish proof that all materials installed on this projectmeet the requirements of item #6 at the request of the approving agency and/or the Design Engineer.5.The locations of existing underground utilities are shown in an approximate way only. The Contractor shall determinethe exact location of all existing utilities before commencing work. The Contractor assumes all responsibility for anyand all damages caused by his failure to exactly locate and preserve any and all underground utilities.6.Work subject to approval by any political subdivision or agency must be approved prior to (A) backfilling trenches forpipe; (B) placing of aggregate base; (C) placing of concrete; (D) placing of asphalt paving. Work done without suchapproval does not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility of performing the work in an acceptable manner.7.All Contractors working within the public road right-of-way are required to secure a right-of-way construction permitfrom ACHD at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to any construction.8.Only plan sets stamped "Approved for Construction" and signed by the City Engineer or his authorized representativeshall be used by the project contractor(s). Use of any plans on the job without the "Approved for Construction" stampshall be grounds for the issuance of a stop work order.9.Locate subsurface stormwater disposal facilities (including infiltration beds and drywells) at least 25 feet from watermains.
