As noted previously, we have no objection to submitting the preliminary plat to be called SAGEWOOD WEST
SUBDIVISION for the extension of SAGEWOOD SUBDIVISION to the parcels adjacent and westerly of the
recorded plat.
This reservation is also dependent on Sagewood Overland LLC (Corey Barton, Member) recording a
Permission To Use Subdivision Name granting the owner platting the land the right to use the name. While at
the moment the owner appears to be Corey Barton, this should be granted to whatever entity of his that is
eventually going to sign the plat.
At your request, I will reserve the name SAGEWOOD SUBDIVISION NO 2 for the final plat of your project. I
can honor this reservation only as long as your project is in the approval process. Final approval can only take
place when the final plat is recorded.
This reservation is available for the project as long as it is in the approval process unless the project is
terminated by the client, the jurisdiction or the conditions of approval have not been met, in which case the
name can be re-used by someone else.

Good morning Josh,
The City doesn't have any confusion with Ada County's name convention.The City has an internal policy to not include
numbering with pre-plats. It is our preference to have that done with final plats so it symbolizes a phase for a specific
project. When you are ready to submit your application we would require Sagewood West for the project name. With
the submittal of the final plat application, you can name it Sagewood No.2 because it is contiguous with the adjacent
subdivision.This has been the standard practice since I started with the City. I hope this provides clarification on the
matter.

Good evening.
I'm working on a project at 1335 W. Overland Road and I have a question about the subdivision name reservation. We
are going to use the name Sagewood West for the project, but Ada County has indicated that they would prefer that we
use the name Sagewood Subdivision No. 2 to record the plat. It becomes an issue to use Sagewood No. 2 because that
sounds like a final plat.
Glen at Ada County Development Services has indicated that Meridian has some confusion on the subdivision naming
system for Ada county..

Meridian has had some very odd ideas about the new preliminary plat subdivision names for some time,
however if you can get Meridian to allow you to submit the preliminary plat as Sagewood West,to be final
platted as Sagewood Sub No 2, then as far as our office is concerned you do have the right(and in fact we
would suggest this)to use the name Sagewood Sub No 2 on the final plat. Subject to the permission being
recorded granting the owner that is platting the land the right to use the name.

Regarding the name change;
Sagewood West could be used only if the signer of the recorded plat for Sagewood Subdivision

Association Inc. at this time.

however if you can get Meridian to allow you to submit the preliminary plat as Sagewood West, to be final
platted as Sagewood Sub No 2, then as far as our office is concerned you do have the right(and in fact we
