At a meeting we had with the engineer a couple of months ago the homeowners have various concerns which the engineer couldn't answer and since the developer was not there none of the questions or concerns were addressed or answered. Listed below are some of the concerns that the residents have. 1. That we will be the entrance means that we will have more traffic on our roads with no way to slow down the traffic with the kids that we have living here. Speed limit signs would be nice posted in a couple of spots and if needed speed bumps to keep the speed down for the safety of walkers and kids. 2. That our subdivision being the only entrance it will take longer for emergency vehicles to arrive on scene. We've already had one house burn in the 4 years I've been here and they would have arrived sooner if there would have been an entrance to our subdivision off of Victory. 3. That they want to put in the same type of drain ponds that were approved by the City of Meridian, installed and signed off by ACHD in Tradewinds without ever being tested to make sure they work properly. When we have a few days of rain instead of draining in the 2 day window they are suppose to drain it takes up to 2 weeks which is a nightmare for the families that live here that their kids are put in danger because of something that was installed but doesn't work. I was told by ACHD that we can't fence it and so far even though they came out and dredged it and redid the sand and dirt in both ponds about 1- 1 1/2 years ago they still don't work. The water table is very high here and there's no where for the water to go. As a result of no one paying attention we have a water problem that has flooded the crawlspaces of 1/2-2/3 of the houses in our subdivision. We would like to make sure that this doesn't happen again so that we don't have more damage to our houses. The pond in the new subdivision would back up to Tradewinds. 4. There are 3 very small lots at the Northwest end of the Teakwood Place, the houses will be very close to the back fence and if allowed to put in 2 story houses in those 3 lots would take away the privacy of the residents of Tradewinds so we are asking that the developer only put in 1 story houses on those 3 lots Thank you, Karen McLafferty 208-870-7538 kdskandles@msn.com 1
