20-2196 Surplus Property Authorizing to Dispose Bricks and Pavers CITY OF MERIDIAN RESOLUTION NO. 20-2196 BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BERNT, BORTON, CAVENER, HOAGLUN, PERREAULT, STRADER A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO, SETTING FORTH CERTAIN FINDINGS TO DECLARE SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN TO DISPOSE OF CERTAIN BRICKS AND PAVERS PURSUANT TO THE CITY PURCHASING POLICY. WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Meridian to declare that a certain bricks and pavers as attached in Exhibit"A" as surplus as these particular items are no longer needed or used by the City of Meridian; WHEREAS, the City of Meridian's purchasing policy allows surplus City property to be discarded, recycled, or sold for salvage when other disposal options are not feasible; WHEREAS, the portions of the bricks and pavers that are the subject of this resolution have previously been declared surplus and portions have been donated to the United Way, and have also been the subject of an Invitation to Bid (#20-13 on January 13, 2020), yet significant portions of the bricks, and pavers remain as City Property as detailed in Exhibit"A"; WHEREAS, the City of Meridian desires to allow the Purchasing Manager to discard, recycle, or sell for salvage all of the remaining bricks and pavers because other methods of disposal have proven to be unfeasible. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO,AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Mayor and City Council hereby authorize and declare that certain bricks and pavers as attached hereto as Exhibit"A" are, and continue to be, surplus property. Section 2. That the Mayor and City Council hereby authorizes the Purchasing Manager to discard, recycle and/or sell for salvage all of the bricks, and pavers listed on Exhibit"A"pursuant to City Purchasing Policy VII (B)(v). These bricks are salvage and are not suitable for structural use. (25 Pallets). • Wishbone/I Shaped Brick Pavers — The Pavers are palletized and the number of bricks vary per pallet. (6 Pallets). • Faded Red/Purple Pavers — These are 2x6x8 and are palletized and the number of pavers vary per pallet.
