NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of
the City of Meridian and the Laws of the State of Idaho that
the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Meridi-
an will hold a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall,33 East
Broadway Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at the hour of 6:00 p.m.
on Thursday,April 2,2020 for the purpose of reviewing and
considering the applications of:
Elizabeth Burgess for a Conditional Use Permit for an
event center (Arts, Entertainment or Recreation Facility, In-
doors and Outdoors) on 0.32 of an acre of land in the O-T
zoning district for Hidden Gem Events (H-2020-0015), locat-
ed at 134 E.State Ave.
Hesscomm Corp. for Annexation and Zoning of 7.35
acres of land with an R-8 zoning district; and a Preliminary
Plat consisting of 28 building lots and 5 common lots for
Teakwood Place Subdivision (H-2020-0006), located ap-
proximately 1/4 mile east of S. Eagle Rd.,fronting on E.Victo-
ry Road.
Jim Jewett for a Rezone of 2.43 acres of land from the R-
4 to the R-8 zoning district; and, a Preliminary Plat consist-
ing of 11 building lots and 2 common lots on 2.27 acres of
land in the R-8 zoning district for Landing South (H-2020-
0005),located at 660 S. Linder Rd.
Westpark Company Inc. for Annexation and Zoning of
55.14 acres of land with R-4, R-8, R-15,and R-40 zoning dis-
tricts; and a Preliminary Plat consisting of 188 building lots,
24 common lots, and 3 other lots for Lavender Heights Sub-
division (H-2020-0009), located east of S. Locust Grove Rd.
and north of E. Lake Hazel Rd.
Copies of the above applications are available for review
upon request. Any interested persons wishing to testify are
welcome to do so at the public hearing listed on this notifica-
tion. Oral testimony may be limited to 3 minutes per person.
Written testimony may be submitted prior to the hearing date
either by mail or in person to Meridian City Clerk, 33 E.
Broadway Suite 104, Meridian, Idaho 83642, by email to
cityclerk@meridiancity.org,by voicemail at 208-288-5607, or
by texting the word "Comment' to 31996 no later than 72
hours prior to the Public Hearing. All testimony and materials
received or presented become property of the City of Meridi-
an and public records subject to the provisions of the Idaho
Public Records Act. Applications are subject to change
throughout the public hearing process and it is incumbent on
interested persons to monitor such changes by following the
process in person, online, or by contacting City staff.
