Doral Academy of Idaho
2511 W Cherry Lane

Dear Planning Staff,
The intention of the application is to create a name change for the existing building located at 2511 W.
Cherry Lane. Compass Public Charter School currently operates a K-5 facility at this location. Doral
Academy of Idaho intends to purchase the property and operate a K-8 school with 630 students at full
build out.
There are no modifications currently identified for the site. The existing site complies with the required
parking and all existing plantings and landscape is to remain. In addition, our traffic checklist compliance
report indicates there is no need for any modification to the site or surrounding roads.
Parking required: 1 per 500sf
40,000sf existing/ 500 = 80 spaces required minimum
106 spaces provided
As the site use will maintain its education focus and the existing school is still in operation this is not
considered a change in use, merely a change in name.
