I appreciate your quick reply on this. You can install the stop bar and bollard for the pathway at Wayfinder and then once the pathway continues, we’ll look at additional treatments as needed. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks! PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING ATTACHMENTS OR LINKS INSIDE THIS EMAIL.] Kaci, Hope you are well! At a public hearing last week for TM Apartments Phase 2, Meridian P&Z Commissioners brought up a question regarding pedestrians / bicyclists crossing Wayfinder. In summary, we have been building a regional pathway on the southside of Ten Mile Creek. This is the first time the pathway crossed a public street. Here are two snipets from the plans. Overall (pathway highlighted in yellow and ped ramps in red) Striping Plan The pathway is only improved on the west side of Wayfinder. The dashed area shows future alignment, which will parallel Ten Mile Creek to our eastern boundary. Meridian is asking about ways to ensure safe crossing. Perhaps we could do what was done at the Walling Bridge / Barber Valley Drive. Barber Valley Drive / Walling Bridge We could consider the following: * We stripe the crossing area over Wayfinder * Stop bar on the pathway on each side * A bollard in the pathway before we get to the ped ramp on each side Thoughts?
