Re: Alternative Complinance No.2 – FedEx Express Facility, Meridian, Idaho – Letter of Explanation
To Whom It May Concern,
We are requesting an Alternative Compliance for a pedestrian sidewalk at the FedEx Express Facility. As per the
specific code requirements, a 5 foot pedestrian sidewalk connection would be needed from Franklin Road to the
site to the north on the temporary full access driveway. Because the road is temporary we are asking to deviate
from having the required 5 foot sidewalk along the road. We are developing a future ACHD local collector road
across our site from east to west that will one day in the future will connect with Wayfinder Street coming north
from Franklin Road at the southwest corner of our site. At that time, FedEx will connect to Wayfinder Street and
close the temporary full access road to Franklin. The ACHD road sections have detached sidewalks on both sides
of the street that will connect to the intersection of Wayfinder and Franklin in the future.
Please contact me directly with any questions regarding the project at 208-514-3300 or
