Re: Alternative Complinance No.1 – FedEx Express Facility, Meridian, Idaho – Letter of Explanation
To Whom It May Concern,
We are requesting an Alternative Compliance for the landscaping at FedEx Express Facility. As per the specific
code requirements, our site requires trees along the eastern landscape buffer. We unable to locate any buffer
trees into the landscape plan along the east side of the flag lot because of a south to north running gravity
irrigation lines and easement, gas utility line and easement, pressurized irrigation lines and proposed sewer line
routing and easement. We are providing additional landscape which consists of both evergreen and deciduous
trees along the western property line, along the north side of the parking area and additional trees and
shrubbery at the public parking lot south of the building. We have provided Vegetative Cover beyond the
required 70% coverage as per code. Please review our landscape plan and notice that the extent of seeding
provides 100% vegetative coverage within our site. We think the overage of landscape materials and vegetative
coverage should adequately cover the missing trees along the east side of the property.
Please contact me directly with any questions regarding the project at 208-514-3300 or
