Re: Alternative Complinance No.1 – FedEx Express Facility, Meridian, Idaho – Letter of Explanation
To Whom It May Concern,
We are requesting an Alternative Compliance for the landscaping at FedEx Express Facility. As per the specific
code requirements, our site requires trees along the eastern landscape buffer. We unable to locate any buffer
trees into the landscape plan along the east side of the flag lot because of a south to north running gravity
irrigation lines and easement, gas utility line and easement, pressurized irrigation lines and proposed sewer line
routing. As for the north side of the lot, north of the collector road, we are unable to locate any buffer trees
because of a storm water swale that runs the extent north and south. We have provided Vegetative Cover
beyond the required 70% coverage as per code. Please review our landscape plan and notice that the extent of
seeding provides 100% vegetative coverage within our site. We think the overage of vegetative coverage should
adequately cover the missing trees along the east side of the property.
Please contact me directly with any questions regarding the project at 208-514-3300 or
