Dear Planning Staff,
The proposed project is an existing distribution warehouse building that is getting new life. The project
includes a main entry addition, warehouse space modifications, and a 2nd floor expansion for additional
office space. The site plan will also have some minor modifications to incorporate an entry plaza as well
as additional parking spaces.
The existing building will be painted a neutral color. The entry addition incorporates a glass façade to
define it as the main entry point for the larger facility. Accents of red will be added as a wayfinding
technique as well as branding.
In addition to the parking lot improvements and modifications, the existing grass turf areas will be
removed and replaced with rock mulch as a base plane for a xeriscape planting scheme to be used
throughout the site. Existing mature trees will be protected and maintained throughout the construction
and where demolition is required, they shall be removed and replanted across the site.
The site use will maintain its warehouse focus for large truck traffic facilitating food products delivery and
pick-up. The new entries and additional parking will provide an entry presence for IFB employees and
accessible parking for visitors and volunteers.
