CITY OF MERIDIAN
FEBRUARY 28, 2020
My wife and I would like to voice our support for the Conditional Use Permit allowing for the increase in building height for
the Meridian Station project. We own multiple commercial properties in Old Town Meridian, our 1913 residence is in Old
Town Meridian and I currently serve as the Vice-President of the Historic Preservation Commission of Meridian. We are also
partnered in the Old Town Lofts development project, across the street from this project. We understand the challenges being
faced by large development in Old Town Meridian. God is NOT making anymore land, so to maximize these sites we must fully
explore vertical development. This variance in NO WAY compromises the texture or identity of our downtown. Its location
does not impede any views. The density that the increase in height provides will bring more businesses, jobs and economic
impact to our downtown...which is desperately needed at this time. The parking that is provided in their submission is
sufficient to meet the evolving needs of our downtown and we look forward to a swift, positive resolution to this process
which will allow Galena's continued investment in our Old Town.Thank you for your consideration.
