A. Approval of M onthly Expenses [Action Item]
JP asked for clarification on “TBD- Art Project Downtown Area”
Audrey will provide report next meeting on where the fund came
from
LM referenced previous process used to install Zamzow ’s mural
to use for the Public/Private Mural Program enhancement fund.
Audrey will review previous process and report next meeting
Garrett White provided update regarding sending Meridian
Downtown Corporation a request for sponsorship of Concerts on
Broadway. Also pointed out $10,000 under Initial P oint Gallery
revenue and noted that historically the Gallery revenue is closer
to $1200. T hat revenue projection more likely drop to $1200.

B. Initial Point Gallery Report
LM remarked on large attendance at February gallery opening
reception, noted that visitors need to be asked to sign visitor log,
one artist asked why prices are not posted on labels.
C. Meridian Symphony Orchestr a E vent Recap
BG reported on the success of the event that took place in City
Hall.
D. Accession/Deaccession Policy City Council Recap
Garrett White reported that all went well when bringing the policy
before City Council.
5.Old Business [Action Item]
A. Followup Discu ssion: Initial Point Gallery Artwork Label Prices
LM noted that there was not enough time to ask the Mayor’s
opinion on this topic during the agenda setting meeting. LM
requested that item be put on next month ’s meeting.
Emily noted the legal aspect of this topic includes a competitive
bidding process.
Discussion ensued regarding the necessity of transparency of the
gallery selection process and how the process has worked in the
past.
B. Via Partnerships Agr eement Update and Next Steps with Meridith
McKinley via Phone Call
Meridith McKinley joined meeting via conference phone. Meridith
and commissioners reviewed synthesized questionnaire- both
commissioners and Meridith asked questions to narrow down
the survey goals, reachable demographic, and possible locations
of public art.
Meridith’s goal is to release survey mid-March. Via Partnerships
will begin building beta version of survey. The Public Art
Committee will continue to meet with Meridith and bring a final
version of the survey to next month ’s meeting for final approval.

6.New Business [Action Item]
A. Eagle Plein Air F estival
BG described the annual event, encouraged attendance.
Discussion ensued regarding the possibility of adding similar
events to Art Week.
B. Committee Structure and Assignments
LM proposed reconfiguring committees by dissolving Strategic
Planning Committee and adding Initial Point Gallery Committee.
LM remarked that the commission can create committees
presently, then assign members next month.
Discussion ensued on how to implement a consistent review of the
Strategic Plan without the Strategic Planning Committee. GC
suggested a quarterly review of the Strategic Plan in the
commission meetings. Topic moved to next month's agenda.
Audrey requested that some commissioners join Public Art
Committee for the current month in order to provide feedback for
the Via Partnerships survey. BG, LC, GC, and JP volunteered to
make up the Public Art Commission until next month ’s meeting.
C. 2020 Calendaring Art E vents

3.Tammy de Weerd's Awards in the A rts (note a name change)
Audrey presented dates to commissioners for the Concerts on
Broadway series.
Commissioners discussed benefits and drawbacks to dates and
the possibility of joining with Kleiner Park Live/Block Party event
on September 12.
JP made motion to approve August 29, September 12, and
September 26 as the dates for the Concerts on Broadway series,
BG seconded
Decision to join with Kleiner Park Live/Block Party on September
12 and Art Week dates moved to next month ’s agenda.
D. Pr esentation: Initial Point Galler y Open on Saturdays
Lizzie Taylor presented thoughts on why the Initial Point Galler y
should be open on Saturdays.
Topic will be added to next month ’s meeting agenda.
E. Children ’s Museums Treasure Hunt
Audrey reported on the invitati on by the Children ’s Museum to
join the Treasure Hunt in March.
