Sonya, Attached is an email from Quality Inn concerning the request from staff for the CUP. They would like this included as their comments for the hearing. Terry Brown from Lytle Signs and Thomas from Quality Inn should be in attendance at the meeting to address these concerns. Cole Fisher who is also part of the attached email is from the company licensed by Quality Inn for all sign production. Lytle Signs is just subcontracted to do the sign install (and handle all permitting issues) Let me know if you want the attached in some other format. Thank you again for your help with this. THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK] Hello Terry, We would like to include the below email as well as the attachments to our letter that responds to the City of Meridian. It would be a financial hardship on us as it would cost over $35,000 if we were made to keep the top cabinet if it were even possible due to safety concerns as well as Choice Hotels Franchise rules. Thank You, Thomas ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Cole Fischer <cFischer@personasigns.com> Date: Tue, Feb 4, 2020 at 10:39 AM Subject: Updated Signage Proposal To: mrsandmanmana¢ement@amail.com <mrsandmanmanasement@email.com> Thomas, Attached is the updated signage proposal to refurbish the existing ground sign. Please note, I have several major concerns with this scope of work: 1. Choice Hotels International will not allow the top portion of the pylon sign to have copy on it. So in effect, it will be unusable. 2. The bottom portion of the sign has aluminum faces. We will be forced to remove the top portion of the cabinet in order to access, refurbish and install Quality Inn & Suites faces in the bottom portion. 3. Being that this sign has some age to it, I am not confident the top portion will be able to be removed and reinstalled without some structural damage. Additional charges will apply if the installer encounters any issues, or is required to fix broken welds, skins, angle iron, etc. These costs are not figured into the attached quote, and will not be known until the time of the incident. I strongly discourage any attempt to salvage the top portion of the cabinet and keeping it as an integral part of the sign structure. Should you have any questions, or wish to discuss in further detail, please don't hesitate to contact me at any time.
