The subject property is located at 2600 North Eagle Road, east of Eagle Road, west of Records Avenue, north of East River Valley Street and south of Ustick Road. The site was annexed into the City of Meridian in 2003 and entered into a Development Agreement which was modified in 2015 (MDA -15-011). The property received CUP approval for a multi -family residential development for the Village Apartments in 2015 (CUP -15-019). In 2017, a two-year administrative time extension (A-2017-0277) was granted by the Director to allow additional time to commence the multi -family use on the property. That time extension will expire on December 15, 2019. The applicant is now requesting an additional two-year time extension to finalize the site configuration and building layout to improve site circulation and pedestrian/vehicular connectivity. The applicant is committed to this development and is continuing to make improvements to the previously -approved concept plan in an attempt to adhere to the City's Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Code. The number of units, amenities and other required aspects of the original CUP approval are not proposed to diminish. Taking these efforts into account, they request additional time to compile a complete package of improvements and details. The applicant plans to commence the multi -family use as soon as possible. Thank you for the opportunity to submit this application and for your assistance in determining the appropriate actions to take in extending the previously -approved CUP for this property. Should you have any questions or require further information in order to process this application, please feel free to contact me.
