Please see the attached site plan and landscape plan. In response to the staff report we revised the site plan
slightly. While we are owners in both projects the ownership is not the same and we are not the only ones that are part
of decisions made with Regency. We spoke with the ownership of Regency and they are very against a vehicular access
into Regency. It would not be appropriate to have general traffic accessing Regency. There is also a great concern about
wear and tear on the private roads within Regency. Also, they have decided that they do not want pedestrian access
either. They see no reason for people to walk directly to the storage unit from regency. They think the chances of
people needing pedestrian access to the storage for means for storing items is unlikely as it isn’t logical to carry items to
store between the two properties. People simply don’t walk to storage units. There is also concern that a pedestrian
access will invite theft. They will drive from all around the area and would need a car to transport items to be stored. I
do understand that the city would like this but I don’t see any requirem ents for this pedestrian or vehicular access within
the city code or within the MU-R designation in the Comprehensive Plan. Furthermore, we can’t require an existing
project with separate ownership to allow vehicular and or pedestrian access. Both of these items will be burden on
Regency.
