Subject:Meridian Resident concern about proposed townhome project at Goddard
Creek/McMillian (H-2019-0068)
Dear Mayor and City Council Members,
I am writing to you to express my sincere concern over the proposed townhome project (H-2019-0068) at the
northwest corner of Goddard Creek & McMillian.
I live in the Lochsa Falls subdivision and therefore have a vested interest in this project.
I understand this parcel was re-zoned from Low Office (LO) to R-4 multiuse in 2017.
I encourage you all to vote “No” on this townhome project and rezone this parcel back to LO for the following
reasons:
• The subdivision has already met their requirement for high density housing with the existing
apartment complex just north of this proposed townhome project.
• The increased amount of “overflow” street parking from these residents into the already crowded
nearby Kelly Creek neighborhood streets.
o The current apartment resident parking has already “overflowed” into the Kelly Creek streets
and Goddard Creek.
• The increased traffic congestion at the intersection of Goddard Creek and McMillian which has already
become a dangerous intersection.
• The increased number of students to be added to already over-crowded schools.
Thank you for your consideration and faithful service to our community!
