A. Solid Waste Survey: Staff presented survey results to SWAC. Conversation centered on
determining direction SWAC should take on recycling.
7. Action Items:
A. Old Business:
1. MYAC recycle signage: Staff updated SWAC on recycle containers in downtown
corridor. SWAC made several requirements of signage in order to partner with MYAC on the
purchase.
2. Parks recycling update: Republic presented the contamination data from park
recycling. Commission considered reducing what is acceptable for recycling in the parks.
B. New Business:
1. Ada County Landfill Cost of Service Study: Update centered on meeting schedules
and composition of the study.

2. SWAC recycling roadmap
SWAC elected to create a subcommittee to concentrate on creating a Solid Waste Plan
for the City of Meridian.
