Sonya,
The City of Meridian has requested feedback regarding an annexation and
preliminary plat for the Edington Place Subdivision, consisting of 92 buildable
lots on 14.56 acres at 3610 N. Linder Road. The County thanks you for this
opportunity and is in support of jurisdictions within the Treasure Valley working
together to create a better quality of life for all residents.
Ada County supports the application due to its conformance with the Meridian
Comprehensive Plan, which designates the site as medium density residential, and
due to its proximity to existing public services and infrastructure. The County
supports and encourages infill development and annexations such as this which
result in the reduction of unincorporated islands within cities. As the property is
located within an area of the city which has largely already been developed, future
residents will have nearby access to existing parks, schools, commercial services
and employment opportunities.
