I reside on Mahoney St. in the Champion Park subdivision, which is at the southwest corner of the Delano Subdivision. Jasmine Lane backs our property line and has very close proximity to the street/lane. We would ask that the developer retain existing trees. At the north west corner of our property the sidewalk along Jasmine will be approximately 18’ from the fence and approximately 30’ near the pool. See images below. Our concern/question is 18’ enough to retain the existing trees? This appears to be just outside the existing power pole. The applicants landscape plans states, “Retain & Protect existing trees where possible” The “Where Possible” is the problem. We are concerned that the sidewalk is too close and/or they may install something else that will require the trees to be removed. We would ask the council to add a condition to the approval that states, “All existing trees on the south side of Jasmine Street shall be retained as shown on the submitted landscape plan. If any of these trees must be removed they shall be replaced with new trees to maintain the existing buffer.” If through construction planning, the developer determines that the sidewalk will for sure cause some of the trees to be removed then we ask the council to require the developer to move the sidewalk so that the back of walk is no closer than the existing edge of pavement or 25’ from the boundary. Thank you for your consideration, Paul and Alison Crane 2654 E Mahoney St. 2 3 GLEAN 8 CLEAR UNDERSTORY J \ RETAIN t PROTECT EXISTING PRIOR TO 5H RB 8 MJLCN \— TREES MERE POSSIBLE INSTALLATION (TYp) u caz W PAr \ STRIP TIzffS 8 LAVH I rYP) 34 35 36 37 38 GLEAN 8 CLEAR UNDERSTORY J \ RETAIN t PROTECT EXISTING PRIOR TO 5H RB 8 MJLCN \— TREES MERE POSSIBLE INSTALLATION (TYp)
