2019-08-19 William and Margaret Schumacher1 Adrienne Weatherly From:Marge Schumacher <marge4750@icloud.com> Sent:Saturday, August 17, 2019 3:02 PM To:Meridian City Clerk Subject:Delano proposed subdivision Honorable Mayor & City Council: We are the largest homeowner in Alpine Point to border the proposed Delano subdivision and we strongly oppose the current plan the developer is presenting. The number of dwellings he wants to build is ridiculous. Alpine Point is a R-4 community and Delano wants to build a R-15 development, plus he wants access through Alpine Point which would increase the traffic going through our development by approximately 1000 car trips/day. THIS PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT WOULD ADD FAR TOO MANY DWELLINGS & TRAFFIC IN AN ALREADY POPULATED AREA BORDERING EAGLE ROAD. Also, at the Planning and Zoning meeting the developer stated that he had contacted each of the homeowners bordering this new development three times. This is a lie as far as we are concerned ! We were contacted by Laren Bailey of Devco Real Estate Development in April 2018 with the initial plans for that development but have NEVER been contacted since by this developer. We travel occasionally but always have our mail forwarded, and we are fully accessible by text and phone calls. I think this developer is trying to pull a fast one on the City of Meridian and the AlpIne Point community to make a quick buck! Please consider the modifications our HOA is proposing for intelligent growth in the development of the acreage. William & Margaret Schumacher 2725 E.
