Motion by J. Nary; second by D. Cronk to adopt the agenda – all ayes – motion
carried.

Motion by J. Nary; second by J. Evarts to approve the minutes – all ayes -
motion carried.
4. New Business [Action Item]
A. T hr ee Year Action P lan
B. Johnston, J. Nary, and J. Ault volunteered to serve on the committee to
discuss this idea further and bring a proposal back to the commission.
5. O ld B usiness
A. Historic B ar ns of M eridian C alendar
Motion by J. Nary; second by J. Evarts to approve not-to-exceed $700 to
purchase about 35 calendars.

J. Ault and D. Cronk will lead discussions to talk about what a course
could look like next year.
E. P ine S tr eet S chool Signage
ACHD responded to our request about branded signage. They
recommend and approve only a green and white directional sign.
Motion by J. Nary; second by J. Ault to approve not-to-exceed
$300 for the fabrication and installation of such a sign on
Westbound Pine. H. Blackstone and J. Evarts will investigate to
see if Meridian Development Corp would approve HPC to make a
Pine Street School banner to be added to the streetlight rotation.
F. Historic P reser vation M onth 2019
Commissioners discussed their Historic Preservation Month event. Ideas
discussed included possibly having two starting locations (one group can
start at Richard Nourse’s); consider working with CheRee Eveland to help
market, promote, and network for the event; stops could include Heritage
Hop Haus, Something Special Antiques, Nourse House, Bell House; Pine
Street school doesn’t fit easily in a short walk/tour; Mill can offer a tour,
but at a separate time frame tha n the guided tours. Motion by J. Evarts;
second by J. Nary to approve not -to-exceed $300 for potential contracting
with CheRee – all ayes – motion carried.
G. Current Applications
Wagner F arms
Wagner Farms buildings will be demolished to make way for new
construction for their project. Motion by J. Evarts; second by J. Nary
to approve not-to-exceed $50 for photographs of the existing
buildings at this property – all ayes- motion carried.
P ast P rojects F ollow Up
H. Blackstone was asked to send a list from the past projects to
HPC members. The members can look at that list and evaluate what
properties they would like to follow up with in person versus which
properties they may like photos take from the street. B. J ohnston will
reach out to City Planners to discuss the idea of includ ing a potential
requirement in development applications for photographs to be
arranged prior to demolition.
6. Repor ts
A. Ada C ounty Historic P reser vation C ouncil Report
H. Blackstone told commissioners that future minutes and agendas from
Ada County Historic Preservation Council will be included in their agenda s
as a report.
7. Next M eeting: April 25, 2019 at 4:30 P M
Two commissioners will be out of town, if K. McBride can attend we will have a
quorum.

F. Children's Museum of Idaho
J. Nary updated that March 16th was the opening of the outdoor
exhibits, including the cabin that HPC helped to bring to the museum.
G. Ada County Historic Preservation Council Report
H. Blackstone attached the recent minutes from Ada County Historic
Preservation Council and will continue to include those in HPC packets
for commissioners to reference.
