Dear Susan:
The Fence Variance CoßlIIÚttee of the City of Meridian met in your presence at 4:30
p.m., October 20, 1997, in City Hall to consider this request.
After due consideration, the CoßlIIÚttee decided to allow construction of a six (6) foot
tall chain link fence with sight obscuring slats along your Locust Grove property line
subject to the following:
1. The fence shall be set forty (40) feet from centerline of Nola (Locust Grove) Road.
2. The fence shall not enclose the fue hydrant and shall be placed no closer that three
(3) feet from the center of the hydrant in any direction.
Thank you for complying with the City ordinance in requesting this variance.

Compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian, that the Fence Variance Committee of the
City Of Meridian will hold a public hearing at the Meridian City Hall, 33 East Idaho Street,
Meridian, Idaho, at the hour of 4:30 o'clock E..M., on Mondav, October 20. 1997, for the
purpose of reviewing and considering the Application of Record Steel & Construction for
a variance from the Meridian Fence Ordinance at the property legally described as follows:
Lot 1. Block 1 Locust Grove Industrial Park
and known by the address 1854 E. Lanark
St.. Meridian. Idaho 83642. The Applicant proposed to reduce the reQuired distance from
20 feet to 0 feet.
The public is wel,come. Testimony, objections, and comments will be heard and
