BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, BORTON, CAVENER,
MILAM, PALMER, LITTLE ROBERTS
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN ADOPTING PUBLIC WORKS DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council have authority to provide the development
community in the City of Meridian with information, process and standards for design of City
infrastructure for both public and private development within the city limits; and
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2016 the Public Works Design Standards were presented to the
Mayor and City Council
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Public Works Design Standards is to provide guidance in
order to maintain standards and best practices in accordance with the City of Meridian's
ordinances, policies, practices, specifications and standards.
WHEREAS, the City Council may adopt policies and standards and incorporate changes
as needed; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO:
Section 1. That the Public Works Design Standards be adopted, a copy of which is
attached to this Resolution and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. That the Public Works Design Standards shall be effective Mays 31, 2016.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this day of May,
2016.
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this day of May, 2016.
