Narrative
This narrative is to request Certificate of Zoning Compliance (CZC) — Change of Use. The
business is Living -Warrior Dojo, a martial arts school teaching Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, a
system of martial arts originating in 12t" century Japan.
The hours of operation for the business are from 5 pm to 9 pm weekdays with occasional classes
offered on Saturdays between 10 am and 5 pm.
The dojo has 29 students, taught between three different classes for different ages/ability levels.
Currently there are no employees, nor will there be for the foreseeable future. All classes are
taught by the owner of the business, Shane Muir.
The space rented will be used to teach martial arts. The majority of the space will have 1 inch
thick non-toxic foam mats for training on. There will be some benches and chairs for sitting and
watch classes for parents and visitors. No seats will obstruct any doorways or points of egress.
